Maeklong Market in Thailand: World’s Most Dangerous Marketplace

One of the world’s most dangerous marketplace can be found in Thailand, the Maeklong Market in Samut Songkhram, Thailand, around 37 miles west of Bangkok. The Thai fruit and vegetables market is the place where the shoppers have to be careful with the commuter train passing by at least 8 times a day.

The bustling open-air marketplace is just like any other markets around the world which is filled with busy shoppers during the day but what is unique about the Maeklong Market is it’s location which is considered as one of the most dangerous marketplace anywhere in the world.

Busy shoppers visited the marketplace for their daily needs, but when the train approaches, each buyers and sellers were running for safety. Market vendors pull back awnings and their produce off a railway track to allow a cross-country train to dissect through the middle of the town of Maeklong, in Samut Songkhram.

When the train already traversed the marketplace, the vendors and their customers goes back to their previous spaces and returned to their usual chores as if there’s nothing happened.
